Wayfarer
"Wayfarer" is the encounter between an author's imagination and a territory, Garbatella, where the author immersed himself for thirty days. It's a project of reclamation.
Luca Brunetti, in reclaiming the neighborhood, seeks to represent it, using the sophistication of his photographic language to imbue the everyday landscapes of Garbatella with a surreal tone.
His personal imagery layers onto the territory, sublimating it and creating unsettling yet recognizable and abstract routes.
Only the author possesses their orientation.
Garbatella transmutes into a dreamlike suggestion:
faces appear sparse, lit by artificial light, while views with impossible saturations adorn a nonlinear narrative.
Amidst this perceptual disorientation, we briefly glimpse a fragment of the author's gaze, intent on reshaping reality to intimately understand and be part of it.
